2. Tamar Hahn of Israel took the charge as the director of the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) in Buenos Aires. She was appointed by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
इजराइल की तमर हाह्न ने ब्यूनस आयर्स स्थित संयुक्त राष्ट्र सूचना केंद्र (यूएनआईसी) के प्रमुख के रूप में कार्यभार संभाला है। उन्हें संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासचिव बान की मून द्वारा नियुक्त किया गया।
3. In a landmark discovery of mankind, international scientists including from India claimed to have glimpsed the first direct evidence of gravitational waves, or ripples in space-time. This phenomenon was predicted by Albert Einstein almost a hundred years ago in his ‘General Theory of Relativity’.
मानव जगत की ऐतिहासिक खोज करते हुए, भारत समेत अंतर्राष्ट्रीय वैज्ञानिकों ने पहली बार गुरूत्वाकर्षण तरंगों की झलक पाने का दावा किया है। एक शताब्दी पहले प्रख्यात वैज्ञानिक अल्बर्ट आइंस्टीन ने अपने सामान्य सापेक्षिकता सिद्धांत का प्रतिपादन करते हुए इन तरंगों के होने की बात कही थी।

5. Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal announced that Pakistan has launched $500 million worth of projects for Afghanistan’s education, health and infrastructure sectors.
पाकिस्तान के योजना, विकास एवं सुधार मंत्री अहसान इकबाल ने अफगानिस्तान के लिए 500 मिलियन की परियोजनाओं की घोषणा की है। इस योजना के तहत शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य, बुनियादी क्षेत्रों पर काम किया जाएगा।
6. T Chockalingam assumes charge as Director, Finance of State-run Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL). Prior to this, he was heading the finance function as General Manager at BHEL’s Tiruchirappalli Unit.
टी चोकलिंगम ने सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की भारत हेवी इलेक्ट्रिकल्स लिमिटेड (भेल) के वित्त निदेशक का पद संभाला। इससे पहले वह भेल की तिरूचिरापल्ली इकाई के महाप्रबंधक के तौर पर वित्तीय कामकाजदेख रहे थे।

8. Namibia’s national under-19 cricket team defeated Nepal in 2016 International Cricket Council (ICC) U-19 World Cup underway in Bangladesh and qualified for the 2018 U-19 Cricket World Cup in New Zealand.

The festival is being organised by the Ministry of Development of North-Eastern Region (DoNER) and Ministry of Culture.
पूर्वोत्तर क्षेत्र विकास संबंधी केंद्रीय राज्य मंत्री (स्वतंत्र प्रभार) डॉ. जितेन्द्र सिंह और गृह राज्य मंत्री श्री किरेन रिजिजू ने गंतव्य पूर्वोत्तर-2016 पर्व का उद्घाटन किया। इस पर्व का आयोजन पूर्वोत्तर विकास मंत्रालय और संस्कृति मंत्रालय द्वारा किया गया है।

चीन के पूर्व फुटबाल खिलाड़ी जेंग झुलिन का निधन हो गया। वह 87 वर्ष के थे।
